The First Steps
The first version of PentaPaper was created a few years ago as a simple solution for the first small business of our CEO and Head of IT, Sven Reifschneider. Existing solutions were too complex and geared towards accountants, or they had other issues such as being based outside of Europe or lacking essential features. Often, a holistic approach was missing, requiring multiple different services to cover all needs, but usually without any connection between the data.
The Challenges
PentaPaper aimed to solve these problems. With PentaPaper, businesses can manage all business processes within a single software. The system is modular, interconnected, and offers extensions to cover specific requirements. Developers and IT-savvy users also benefit from the ability to develop their own extensions in PHP.
The Evolution
PentaPaper steadily grew to meet increasing demands. Over time, features like expense tracking, time tracking, and a tax overview were added to meet the needs of small businesses, allowing for quick and convenient management.
The Path to a Modern Platform
Since 2017, we have been working to evolve PentaPaper from a simple internal solution into a modern, appealing, and flexible platform. This led to a completely revamped design, many new features, and apps. Version 3 marked an important milestone, which was further refined over the years and eventually utilized in Version 4.
Penta5 – The Next Step into the Future
From 2022-2024, we brought PentaPaper to a modern and future-proof state and integrated it into our software ecosystem. This led to the creation of Penta5, the newest and best version of PentaPaper. This version combines all previous developments and offers even greater flexibility and expandability for businesses of all kinds.
